It is finally here! Marvel has released the first trailer for their upcoming new movie release Eternals and it looks so good.
The long-awaited superhero film is led by this year’s Best Director Oscar winner Chloé Zhao and features an ensemble cast of all-stars. Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Kit Harrington, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek are just a few of the A-listers who will be a part of Marvel’s newest superhero team.
Eternals picks up shortly after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and follows the Eternals, a superhuman alien race who have been living on Earth for thousands of years. However, they must unite to protect mankind from the Deviants, an evil alien species.
Although much of the plot is still under wraps, the Eternals trailer does a great job of introducing the team of superheroes as well as providing a sneak peek at their powers. Additionally, Chloé Zhao’s unique directorial style is on full display in the trailer with her signature landscape cinematography shining bright.

The Eternals trailer opens with the Eternals’ arrival on Earth many thousands of years ago. Through voiceover narration, it is revealed that they have watched humans progress over time and have helped them build entire civilizations. However, the Eternals have mostly stayed on the sidelines until now, when an extraterrestrial threat requires them to defend Earth.
In addition to the star talent above, the trailer sees Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Richard Madden, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, and Don Lee unite to form the Eternals.

The Eternals trailer’s final scene is already drawing parallels
Marvel has famously teased audiences with mid-credit and post-credit scenes in their films for years. However, it seems like the studio is now sneaking in post-credit scenes into their trailers.
After the epic “Eternals” title card, the trailer cuts to a dinner scene that is reminding us all of The Avengers’ legendary shawarma scene.
