Watch Gaten Matarazzo (Toothless Dustin) From ‘Stranger Things’ Slay The National Anthem

We’ve already seen Millie Bobby Brown completely crush Nicki Minaj’s verse in Kanye West’s “Monster,” but she isn’t the only kid on the Stranger Things cast to have some serious musical skills.

Gaten Matarazzo might have played the lovable, toothless Dustin on Stranger Things, but before he was cast on the show, he was actually a Broadway singer! Matarazzo got his start in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Les Misérables, but even after knowing he’s well-trained, it doesn’t make his voice any less awe-inspiring.

In 2014, Gaten sang the national anthem at a Sixers game and totally crushed it. Check out the video below and prepare to be amazed.

Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair, is also gifted in the art of song. He starred as Young Simba in the Broadway musical The Lion King. You can hear his incredible pipes around the 3:40 mark in the video below.

In perhaps the weirdest twist, the actor who plays Steve, the jock we all want Nancy to dump, has an incredible psych rock band. Joe Keery is the drummer of the Chicago-based Post Animal. Who would have thought jocks liked nerdy, indie rock? Watch his trippy music video below.
