Melanie Griffith to Produce, Star in Lifetime Series

Melanie Griffith will star in a Lifetime original series, which she will also produce — as will her husband, Antonio Banderas.

According to Deadline, American Housewife “centers on a mother of two children who has conversations with her inner voice while dealing with one of her kids leaving home for college and the other remaining at home.” Sounds perfect for Lifetime!

Big-screen director David Slade (Eclipse) is reportedly in negotiations to helm the pilot episode.
