The Queen Wizard herself will stop by Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center to lend her comedic stylings to the SNL stage. Helen Mirren is confirmed at the host for the sketch show’s April 9 episode along with musical guest the Foo Fighters (a.k.a. the band led by that awesome guy with long hair who apparently hates Glee). She’ll be stopping by to promote her new flick, Arthur, starring that funny little Englishman who stopped by to host the show a little while ago, Russell Brand. While she may be an upstanding, proper lady, she’s actually had quite an eventful past. So if you’re worried about her SNL hosting gig turning out to be a snooze stop it, right there. The woman once fielded a dressing room break-in from Keith Moon, okay? And she looks like this in a bikini AND SHE’S OVER 60 YEARS OLD. I’m sure she can handle some silly little sketch show.
