Will ‘The Client List’ Get a Season 3?

Jennifer Love Hewitt didn’t have these problems on Party of Five!

The star of the The Client List, who recently announced that she is expecting her first child with co-star and fiancé Brian Hallisay, has triggered the issue of incorporating a storyline for her pregnancy in the show’s upcoming third season. Hewitt is pushing for her real-life baby daddy to play the father, but the series’ showrunner as well as the Lifetime network have another character in mind: her character’s brother-in-law, played by Colin Egglesfield.

The Client List,  a seductive drama series revolving around Hewitt as a single mother giving sexual massages at an adult spa in order to support her family, will not be renewed until an agreement is reached. Deadline reports that both sides appear willing to walk away, but sources insist that a compromise is attainable.“There are many story lines we are exploring,” Hewitt’s rep told the website. “So any suggestion that we are not doing our best to develop a great season is simply not accurate.”

Sunday night marked the second season finale of the series based on the Lifetime movie of the same name with a total of 2 million viewers. The day after the episode aired, Hewitt tweeted that she was “hoping for season 3!” The series, which had long been renewed by this point in its first season, ended its first season with a finale of 2.7 million. Coincidentally, the last words heard in the season 2 finale were “I can explain.” How are you going to explain this pregnancy, Lifetime?
