When it comes to promoting their latest projects, stars sport their best and brightest straight from the catwalk to the studio couch. Modesty is not the name of the game, but when it comes to making an impression – these guests light up the small screen. Check out our favorite looks from late night this week.
Abbie Cornish on Jimmy Kimmel Live
The Aussie actress got a head start on Valentine’s Day, sporting a red-lacey ensemble to promote her new film, RoboCop on Feburary 12. Questionable film remakes aside, Cornish’s fashion cues were on point when she paired a figure hugging pencil skirt with a lace bustier top by British designer Philip Armstrong. To contrast the striking red, she accessorized with nude platform pumps by Sheikh shoes and sparkly jewels from Graziela Gems, Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and a ring by Melinda Maria. But even her skin-baring outfit took a backseat to bigger news. The actress is currently working on a rap album that she’ll be releasing later this year. Looks like fellow Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea is safe for now.
Regina Hall on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
The About Last Night star has been working her assets during the promotional rounds. After wearing a gravity-defying jumpsuit to her movie premiere, she opted for another sexy black number on the Late Late Show. The little black dress by by Herve Leroux was anything but ordinary, featuring cap sleeves, an embellished neckline and sheer paneling in the front. She completed the look with a sleek updo and peep-toe black booties.
Our favorite deadpanned comedian looked positively smoking on Conan, showing off a new, glossy bob and a teeny-tiny, long-sleeved, black minidress. Hello, April! Despite the plunging necklace, the dress never veered into raunch territory and she wore a beautiful long pendant with black stones that we need, stat. While she didn’t tear off pieces of her dress to leave as a souvenir for Conan this time, she did talk about making out with Amy Poehler and practicing her “shank-ing” maneuvers.
Gabrielle Union on The Arsenio Hall Show
The always-stunning Gabrielle Union and bride-to-be visited The Arsenio Hall Show to talk her upcoming nuptials to NBA Star Dwayne Wade and her BET series, Being Mary Jane. Union looked sleek and sophisticated in a black, sleeveless cocktail dress with contrasting appliqués from Italian label Amen and black suede, crystal-embellished sandals from the Aperlai’s Spring 2014 line called Simple D.
