There are few people that we here in the BTR office look to for style inspiration. To us, personal style is all about how you mix your favorite pieces, not necessarily what those favorite pieces are. One person that seems to hit the mark every time with her eclectic yet refined style is TANK fashion director Caroline Issa.
She relies on bold shapes and colors.
During fashion week, we’re always pleasantly surprised by the outfits Issa puts together—a particular homerun for us this year was the pastel pink and mint green skirt combo she wore in New York. We love that she not only has an attainable style, but she keeps her look pretty low key, relying on the shapes and bold colors of her choices to stand out.
Often with a bold red lip.
From crisp a-line skirts paired with suede fringe heels to tailored trousers and printed sweaters, Issa’s personal style has guided us season and season again when it comes to what we’ll be adding to our wardrobes. Take some cues from Issa, who keeps her hair and makeup simple (save the bold red lip she’s often seen with) and lets her unique choice of fashion do the talking.
