I’m a walking-talking contradiction: I pride myself on having a massive makeup collection, yet I can never bring myself to carry a fully-stocked makeup bag. I may have about a half-dozen lipsticks floating around my Alexander Wang Rocco, but eye shadows? Powder? Blush? That’s way too high-maintenance for me, and this is coming from the same girl that makes it a point to restock her blush collection with every season.

The line was inspired by the multi-tasking, on-the-go women that call New York home
Haven’t heard of Aerin? The line was started by Estée Lauder’s granddaughter, Aerin Lauder (who’s also put in time at Estée Lauder). It was inspired by multi-tasking, on-the-go women (essentially me in a nutshell), and the Fall Color Palette is part of the New York City Color collection. I’m a sucker for anything with my hometown’s name, and, needless to say, I’ve fawned over the glitzy gold packaging (and of course, the product inside) for way longer than I’d like to admit. This was a match made in multi-tasking heaven.
I’ve also added the lip colors to my current handbag lipstick rotation. The cheeky your-lips-but-better mauve color pairs well with the aforementioned blues, and the deeper berry will work magic with a nude eye. For girls that like more shine, the glosses promise to deliver a one-two punch of color and sheen.
