Jeremy Allen White Honors ‘The Bear’ Cast in Emotional Emmy Win Speech

Jeremy Allen White won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in The Bear for the second consecutive year at the 2024 Emmys.

The two-time Emmy winner began his speech with a heartfelt “Thank you so much. My heart is just beating right out of its chest. Thank you. Thank you to the Academy, my fellow nominees. I’m so honored to be in your company. Chris and Jo, thank you for choosing me, I am so, so lucky, I’m so grateful, thank you.

The actor faced stiff competition from Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows), D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (Reservation Dogs), Steve Martin and Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building).

Jeremy Allen White continued his speech by saying, “Thank you, my beautiful cast. I love you forever. I love to work with you, and I want us to be in each other’s lives forever. I love you so dearly,” he continued. “This show has changed my life. It is instilled a faith that change is possible if you are able to reach out. You are really, truly, never actually alone.”

Jeremy Allen White then served up a classic family tribute, revealing the most adorable adorable nickname for his daughter, Louie.

I thank this show, my parents, I love you, Annabel, my sister, you’re here, I love you so much, thank you for coming with me tonight, Ezer and Louie [Delores, his children] I love you so, so much, you are my heart, thank you everybody.”

Jeremy Allen White’s victory followed shortly after his co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach earned his second Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. The Bear is also up for several other major awards on Sunday, including Best Comedy Series, Lead Actress in a Comedy, as well as accolades for Comedy Directing and Writing.
