Most of us are still waiting for our Hogwarts acceptance letters to arrive in the mail. For a few lucky wizards who have already received theirs (or at least paid for the £220 ticket), there is absolutely nothing as magical as celebrating Christmas at Hogwarts.
The Warner Brothers Studio Tour in London held a magical Harry Potter Christmas dinner in the Great Hall — just like Harry, Ron and Hermione have in the movies. One Redditor documented the experience, and made us all wish those owls would just hurry up already. Seriously, did they get lost?
Everything starts in the entrance to the Great Hall.
Guests find their seats and enjoy the festive decorations.
The details are everything — from the ornaments to the place settings.
There are even plaques representing the four houses.
Each dinner guest gets a new wand (because every wizard needs a new wand for Christmas).
Unfortunately Death Eaters crash the party.
But after a quick battle, good prevails and the party resumes.
And of course, there’s the food.
After the party, guests can chill out in the Gryffindor common room.
Then head over to platform 9 3/4.
You’ve got to make sure you catch the Hogwarts Express.
And take a stroll through Diagon Alley.
Each guest leaves with their official Hogwarts acceptance (even if you’re like us, and a little too old to start).
