Owen Wilson Tries to Forget About ‘The Internship’, Teams Up With Jim Carrey for Bank Heist Comedy

With The Internship not faring so well at the box office this past weekend, Owen Wilson is moving on to bigger and (hopefully) better things. Deadline is reporting that he will be co-starring with funnyman Jim Carrey in a yet-to-be-named bank heist comedy. Previously titled Loomis Fargo, the film will be directed by Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess.

The movie follows an armored car driver who helps steal $20 million from a bank. When his accomplices take off with the money and abandon him in Mexico, he plans to seek revenge. There’s no word on which roles the comedy actors will play.

Carrey has had a rather underwhelming year so far himself, with The Incredible Burt Wonderstone flopping and the new announcement that the Dumb and Dumber sequel has been dropped by Warner Bros. Let’s hope that together, Carrey and Wilson can make a movie that’s actually, you know, funny.
