Jennifer Connelly and Saoirse Ronan Board Russell Crowe’s Ark in ‘Noah’

Jennifer ConnellyOscar winner Jennifer Connelly and nominee Saoirse Ronan have signed up to join Russell Crowe in Darren Aronofsky‘s 2014 film Noah.

No word just yet on whom the actresses will be playing in Aronofsky’s adaptation of the Old Testament tale about Noah’s Ark, but Crowe recently boarded the project as the title character.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount’s Adam Goodman seemed to confirm the casting news: “It will be a big, robust production and will have tremendous scale. It’s the perfect combination of casting [Russell Crowe, Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Connelly] and a remarkable adventure. This isn’t what you think of when you think of Darren, but it will be very true to him as a filmmaker. It will be PG-13 and will likely cost around $125 million.”

It will mark a reunion between Connelly and Aronofsky, who worked together on the latter’s breakout 2000 drug drama Requiem for a Dream — AND Noah will reunite Connelly with her A Beautiful Mind costar Crowe.
