Take heed, America. Our Amazing Amazon has arrived. According to former Variety TV editor Michael Schnieder’s Twitter feed, Adrianne Palicki has been cast in NBC’s reworking of Wonder Woman. And trust us, this is good news.
Palicki’s best known for her portrayal of Tyra in NBC’s critically-acclaimed football drama Friday Night Lights. In the show, she plays a high school student in Texas determined to make it out of the traps of small town life. With her performance, she displayed a dynamic acting range, capable of both serious and comedic moments. She shouldn’t have trouble depicting a super hero. Plus? Palicki looks the part. She’s tall, standing 5’11”, carrying a powerful presence on screen capable of majorly busting dudes’ faces in — and, let’s be honest, she’s a babe.
