Amid the important and historic strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, Enthusiasts of the horror genre have been given a light at the end of the tunnel. That is to say, the much-anticipated sequel, Final Destination 6, has received a hopeful update, thanks to the series’ originator, Jeffrey Reddick.
The Light at the End of The Tunnel
Reddick has divulged that the sixth installment is poised for production. This chapter continues the chilling premise of a band of friends who initially evade death, only to be pursued relentlessly by an unseen entity embodying the Grim Reaper. However, this forward progress is currently on hold due to the ongoing strikes. So, it’s now primed to kick off once the dispute concludes.
The last time audiences reveled in the inventive and savage fatalities of Final Destination was in the 2011 release of Final Destination 5. This installment presented yet another clique narrowly evading death, thanks to a prophetic vision. While the fifth episode received a blend of praise and criticism, it’s primarily remembered for its unexpected climax, in which the survivors end up aboard the ill-fated Volée Airlines Flight 180 from the first film.
Final Destination 6 Promises to Spice Things Up
The specifics surrounding the plot of Final Destination 6 remain under wraps. Though, there are murmurs suggesting a focus on first responders such as EMTs, firefighters, and law enforcement. Reddick has hinted at a departure from the usual pattern in previous revelations.
