Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Icon Cinema

Located in Albuquerque’s Cañada Village, Icon Cinema is a luxury theatre. It has an Iconic Mega Screen, which is a state-of-the-art large-format screen with 4K 7.1 surround sound, and seats that power recline and have an adjustable headrest. Guests have shared that the seats are very comfortable and make for an enjoyable movie theater experience.

One thing very special about Icon Cinema is that it offers guests bottomless popcorn and all-you-can-drink Coca-Cola products! The theater shows all the latest movie releases and has a Tuesday special, where movie-goers pay only $6 to attend any movie at any time on Tuesdays. Reviewers noted that the theater is very clean and the employees are helpful and efficient.

One reviewer on Google wrote, “Always great coming here! Favorite movie theatre in town. Always clean, unlimited popcorn and drinks, good staff, fun vibes, I always recommend this movie theatre.” This is even the theater where Ludacris chose to watch his film F9: The Fast Saga!

Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Century 14 Downtown Albuquerque

The Century 14 Downtown Albuquerque is a Cinemark theater that has stadium seating that can be reserved upon purchasing your ticket. Tickets at the Century 14 Downtown Albuquerque are reasonably priced, costing about $9.50 for a weekend showing.

The Century 14 Downtown Albuquerque sells typical movie theater snacks with the addition of some other offerings like coffee, hot dogs, and ice cream. Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Regal Winrock Stadium 16 IMAX & RPX

The Regal Winrock Stadium 16 offers movies in IMAX and RPX for an enhanced viewing experience. Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Premiere Cinema 14 – Rio Rancho

The Premiere Cinema 14 – Rio Rancho is located less than 20 miles outside of Albuquerque. This theater offers guests immersive movie experiences like 3D and D-BOX seats. With D-BOX, guests can purchase tickets to sit in a box where their seats move along with the action of the film.

The Premiere Cinema 14 – Rio Rancho has stadium seating and offers typical concessions like popcorn, drinks, and nachos with cheese. The theater even holds events and programs like the Summer Kid Fest, where a different children’s movie will be screening every week throughout the summer. The Premiere Cinema 14 – Rio Rancho sometimes even screen Netflix films!

Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Starlight Cinemas 8

Starlight Cinemas 8 is located about 25 miles outside of Albuquerque in Los Lunas. The theater is run by Mitchell Theatres whose mission is “to provide a big city movie theatre experience with small-town service and prices.” The theater has high-back stadium seating, along with 7.1 digital surround sound, fully digital projection, and 3D.

The pricing at Starlight Cinemas 8 is very reasonable, with matinee tickets costing only $5.75 and evening tickets $7.75. The concession stand offers typical movie theater fare with the addition of hot options like nachos, pretzels, and hot dogs. The theater also allows refills on extra-large popcorn and soft drinks. Seating is first-come, first-serve, so guests can choose where they sit upon arriving!

One reviewer on Google wrote, “Setting is comfortable, the theaters are clean, and the sound is excellent. Snack bar prices are also not too bad and the popcorn is some of the best I’ve had at any movie theater.”

Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Guild Cinema

Located in Albuquerque’s Nob Hill district, Guild Cinema is a locally owned and operated movie theater that shows independent and foreign films as well as documentaries. This movie theater supports the community by sharing its members’ art and showcasing films by local, independent filmmakers. The theater has been operating since 1966.

Every year, Guild Cinema hosts its Festival of Film Noir, where it shows films from the 1940s–1980s. Movie tickets here are reasonably priced, with general admission costing $8. Reviewers describe this theater as “small and cozy.” One reviewer on Google wrote, “Albuquerque is lucky to have such a cool local/indie theater like this. Love this place and every movie I’ve seen here.”

Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Balloon Fiesta Park Drive-In

The Balloon Fiesta Park Drive-In is located in the park where Albuquerque holds its annual International Balloon Fiesta. The drive-in has two screens and shows new releases as well as some older favorites. Guests pay admission per car and up to seven people are allowed in each vehicle.

Guests can bring grills and outside food and drinks to tailgate at the Balloon Fiesta Park Drive-In. The drive-in sometimes has food trucks and will soon sell alcoholic beverages. Guests can even order DoorDash to their vehicles! No pets are allowed on site. Movies are typically shown rain or shine, and guests can tune in from their car radio.

Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Century Rio 24 Plex and XD

The Century Rio 24 Plex and XD is a Cinemark theater that offers movies in XD with a wall-to-wall screen, a state-of-the-art projector that’s capable of 35 trillion colors, and a custom surround sound system with more speakers than a standard theater.

The Century Rio 24 Plex and XD has comfortable Luxury Loungers with power reclining. The theater offers typical concessions with some special options like kettle popcorn. There is an arcade in the lobby where you can pass the time while waiting for your movie.

Albuquerque Movie Theaters: Regal UA High Ridge

The Regal UA High Ridge screens movies both in 2D and 3D. The theater is fitted with comfortable rocking seats. It is located right near the Hinkle Family Fun Center, making it the perfect spot for a date night or family/friend hangout!

While this theater shows the latest releases, it also shows independent films and documentaries that other theaters may not have. The Regal UA High Ridge has a large concession stand with typical offerings like popcorn, candy, and soft drinks.
