Mickey Rourke lived up to his reputation of behaving erratically a few days ago, because he told a Vulture reporter that several of his movies were “terrible,” and when he was reminded of how he said Megan Fox was the “best young actress [he’d] ever worked with,” he smirked and clarified that she was really only better than the other young actresses he’d worked with previously. But today, he seems to have had a change of heart and clarified his comments to the outlet today. He said, “Hey guys. When I talked to you, I was at a party. It was loud and crowded, I was in a shitty mood and I was trying to get rid of your reporter. Mitch [Passion Play‘s director] is one of my best friends since we were kids. I loved working with him and I would do it again tomorrow. I don’t know why I said that stupid shit. I love Mitch. I love Megan. My bad.”
It’s pretty impressive that Rourke went out of his way to explain why he said what he said without apologizing to anyone: not Megan Fox, not his friend Mitch who directed a shitty move, and not even the Vulture reporter, who he was trying to dismiss. I’m pretty sure there’s something to learn here.
