Gary Busey: ‘I crossed over following my brain surgery’

Actor Gary Busey has revealed he briefly died following a 1988 motorcycle accident.
The Lethal Weapon star was involved in a near-fatal bike crash and underwent brain surgery, during which he “went to the other side”, and saw angels.
“It’s beautiful over there,” he tells the New York Post’s Page Six. “I was surrounded by angels, which are big balls of light – amber, magenta, gold light – and three lights came up to me.”
The 72-year-old claims one of the three lights he saw spoke to him “in an androgynous voice” and informed him of “the responsibility (he) had for mankind.”
“We’re here to do one thing and that’s to find the truth of ourselves, become our own best friend, and it’s just lovely,” he says. “I’ve been around the sun 72 times so I’ve had some experience in learning how to do that.”
