Filmmaker William C. Gerrity dies

Filmmaker William C. Gerrity has died at the age of 86.
The director passed away on 15 November (15) in Florida, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Gerrity was best known for his work as an assistant director on several TV shows and movies, including crime drama Naked City, The French Connection and Klute.
He also worked as a producer and production manager on films including Sophie’s Choice, Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult and Se7en, starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman.
In 1983, he received the Directors Guild of America’s Frank Capra Achievement Award.
