MTV host Carson Daly and actress Tara Reid, who’ll be seen in the upcoming American Pie 2 have put an end to their relationship. Daly’s publicist Shirine Coburn told The Associated Press, “They’re definitely split up and they wish each other the best and that’s it. It’s private.” In April, they postponed their summer nuptials, which was the first showing of any trouble. The breakup came after several painful but futile attempts to resolve their differences. Reid told the New York Daily News, “When’s something’s not right, it’s not right.” She went on to say she tried everything to make it work but it simply wasn’t happening. But she added that “thankfully” everything was settled. “I’m going to spend most of the summer in the Hamptons and maybe go to Europe with friends. And mostly, I want to enjoy life,” she said.
