Hugh Hefner hasn’t revealed too much of why he believes his wedding to Crystal Harris was canceled, but he seems to be doing quite well anyway because he tweeted that instead of getting married on Saturday, he’ll be hosting a screening of Runaway Bride in the Playboy Mansion. Crystal however, made the decision to call into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning to dispel the rumors that she and Hef had a huge fight last week AND that she was planning to leave Hef at the altar all along. When Seacrest asked Crystal point blank what made her decide to not go through with the wedding, she said “I called it off because I didn’t think it was the right thing for me to do. It was mutual between Hef and I. There was no fight, we sat down and talked about it.” She also said, “For a while I’ve been having second thoughts about everything. I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. I didn’t think it was really fair to him. It was all happening too fast for me…Was this what I wanted?” Crystal also said she didn’t leave Hef for another man, and explained that she suddenly realized a lifestyle where trampolines are built into the floors wasn’t for her. She insisted that she and Hef will remain on good terms and said that after her first single debuts next week, she plans to spend her time between Los Angeles and San Diego.
On an obviously related note, Lifetime has canceled their Marrying Hef special…AND, even though the wedding has been called off, Crystal Harris will continue to appear on the July issue of Playboy as Mrs. Crystal Hefner.
