[IMG:L]At a press conference held in Los Angeles, Battlestar Galactica star Grace Park, co-host of the upcoming 2007 AZN Asian Excellence Awards, announced the nominees for this year’s awards presentation. Also speaking at the conference were executive producers Welly Yang and Teddy Zee. The show, which honors outstanding achievements of Asians and Asian Americans, will premiere on AZN Television at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 28.

The 2007 AZN Asian Excellence Awards® will be taped live at UCLA’s Royce Hall on May 16. Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) will co-host the show with Grace Park. Prior to the awards telecast on AZN Television, E! Entertainment Television, the top global source for everything red carpet, will air an hour-long special featuring red carpet arrivals, behind-the-scenes excitement and highlights from the event. The special will air on E! on May 24 at 6:00 p.m. ET/PT.
