Here are the 25 shows on tour for the 2023-2024 season:
Broadway shows touring: 1776
This musical tells the story of the events leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The show focuses on John Adams’ efforts to push his fellow colleagues to vote for American Independence. If you’re a big history buff, this will be a real treat! 1776 begins its tour on February 14, 2023.
Broadway shows touring: A Soldier’s Play
After 40 years and a 2020 Tony award win for best revival, A Soldier’s Play is back and better than ever. Set on a Louisiana Army base in 1944, when a black seargant is murdered, an investigation is launched, leading to a flurry of interrogations causing many to question their service, sacrifice and identity in the country they all love, America. A Soldier’s Play will be on tour from March 28, 2023 through June 25, 2023.
Broadway shows touring: Ain’t Too Proud
If you’re a fan of The Temptations, you’ll definitely want to buy tickets to this musical. Ain’t Too Proud lets audiences go on a journey with The Temptations as they begin their lives in Detroit and eventually end up at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. You’ll hear all of their classic hits like “My Girl,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” and “Get Ready.” The show is on tour until March 3, 2024.

The street rat and his genie have decided to take their adventures from Broadway and the streets of Agrabah, to cities nationwide. Based on the hit Disney film, join Aladdin, Abu, Genie and the Magic Carpet in this high flying adventure as it takes audiences into an exotic world filled with daring adventure, laugh out loud comedy and timeless romance. Aladdin is on tour until April 28, 2024.

For all Carole King fans, this musical is the perfect choice. This show follows the life of Carole King and her rise to stardom. Audiences will see her songwriting partnership with husband Gerry Goffin, her relationship with writers Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, and her growth into the solo artist she is today. Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is on tour until April 22, 2023.

Straight off the heels of a successful run on Broadway, the ghost with the most is hitting the road in a successful nationwide tour. Following the death of the Maitland’s, Lydia Deetz and her family move into their spacious home. Thinking that her life was going to continue to be as boring here as it was in New York, she couldn’t have been more wrong. Once she meets ghosts of the Maitland’s and a ghost with a penchant for stripes, her life takes a turn for the…unusual. Beetlejuice is on tour now through Jun 30, 2024.
Broadway shows touring: Come From Away
Come From Away shows the kindness of humans in the darkest of times. When U.S. airspace was closed on September 11, 2001, due to the terrorist attacks, the people of Gander, Newfoundland, worked to divert 7,000 airline passengers to their island. Some characters in the musical are based on real people, like the first female captain for American Airlines, Captain Beverly Bass. The show is on tour until May 19, 2024.

Opening in 1970, the Stephen Sondheim musical had a rough start with an initial preview bringing in mixed reviews, but was a smash success on Broadway one month later. Now, 43 years later, Company has found a new life on tour. Company follows Bobbie on the eve of her 35 birthday party. Constantly being barraged with questions about marriage, why she’s still single, and why she doesn’t have a family, she finally realizes just how crazy it could drive someone. The Company tour runs from Oct 17, 2023 through Aug 18, 2024.

After making its way to the silver screen, Dear Evan Hansen is now touring the country! The musical follows Evan Hansen, an anxious and isolated high school student, who gets caught in a web of lies when the parents of a student who took his own life mistake Evan’s letter for their son’s letter. The show touches on the complexities of mental illness. Dear Evan Hansen is on tour until July 2, 2023.

Disney lovers, get ready to see Frozen on stage! This musical follows the movie’s plot with all the songs you know from the film and even some new ones. Live your Disney child fantasy and check out Frozen when it comes to your city! The show is on tour until May 18, 2024.

The story opf Funny Girl’s Fanny Brice is coming to a stage near you. Originally brought to the stage by the incomprable Barbra Streisand, the story of Fanny Brice is one that many people can relate to. Growing up in the Lower East Side, Fanny had always dreamed of becoming a star, something no one ever thought would happen. Much to everyone’s surprise, show would go on to become the star she always knew she’d be. The tour sill run from Sep 9, 2023 through Aug 25, 2024.

The Tony-winning musical Hadestown is making its way across the country. The musical is a modern adaptation of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and King Hades and his wife, Persephone. Hadestown is a haunting tale about love and loss. The show is on tour until February 18, 2024.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning musical is now touring the country! This musical is a retelling of the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through rap and hip-hop-styled songs. Hamilton is on tour until August 13, 2023.
Broadway shows touring: Into the Woods
Perhaps one of Stephen Sonheim’s greatest musicals of all time, Into the Woods has come home to Broadway with an all new revival featuring an incredible cast, with the likes of Philippa Soo and Sara Bareilles. For those not in the know, Into the Woods involves several of the Brother Grimm’s most famous fairy tales as they collide with each other while the characters try to find and follow their own desires. The show is on tour now through Jul 30, 2023.

Alanis Morissette has been thrilling audiences since she emerged on the scene in 5 episodes of the hit 80s Nickelodeon show You Can’t Do That On Television. From there she would go on to have a hit career as one of the most influential singers of our time. Now, audiences are thrilled nightly with Jagged Little Pill, the new hit musical based on the singers hit album. Prepare to rock out when Jagged Little Pill comes to the stage near you now through Sep 17, 2023.

Based on the book by Victor Hugo, the classic, and timeless musical of courage, hope, and love is back on tour. From Cameron Mackintosh, the smash hit Les Misérables follows Jean Valjean, a man recently paroled after serving time for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family, as he break his parole and flees into the night. After years in hiding and living a new life as a factory owner, Valjean agrees to take in a young womans daughter during a time in France’s tumultuous history. You can catch this historic musical on tour through Jun 23, 2024.

Another Disney film will reach thousands of people across the country on stage. This musical follows Simba, a young lion set to succeed his father Mufasa as the ruler of the Pride Lands. After Simba’s uncle Scar murders Mufasa in an attempt to seize the throne, Simba flees into exile, believing he is the one responsible for his father’s death. During his exile, Simba grows up with the help of a meerkat and warthog duo. The music is by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice. The Lion King is on tour until August 24, 2024.

Tina Fey’s musical hits the stage as it travels across the country. Based on the 2004 film, Mean Girls is a coming-of-age musical that follows Cady Heron, a former home-schooled student who grew up on an African savanna. When she settles in her new home in suburban Illinois, Cady is welcomed by The Plastics, a trio of high school girls led by the ruthless Regina George. As Cady begins to rise to the top of the food chain, she loses sight of what’s important. The show is on tour until May 7, 2023.
MJ The Musical
Oftentimes labeled as the greatest performer of our time, Michael Jackson was a force to be reckoned with during his unparalleled 30+ year career. With hits like “Billie Jean”, “Smooth Criminal,” “Bad,” and “Thriller” to name just a few, the star continues to thrill audiences years after his death with tribute concerts happening all the time. Now, Tony Award(R)-winning Director/Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage have teamed up to bring to the stage MJ The Musical, a show focusing on the creation of the stars famed 1992 Dangerous World Tour. MJ The Musical is a show that will have you dancing in the aisles. The tour will run from Aug 1, 2023 through May 26, 2024.

Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film hits cities across the country with Moulin Rouge! The Musical. The show tells the story of ambitious writer Christian who falls in love with the extravagant Santine. The show has a collection of popular songs throughout its soundtrack, including “Lady Marmalade” and “Chandelier.” The tour will run April 28, 2024.

Based on the 1990 film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, this musical is a modern update on Cinderella. Businessman Edward hires sex worker Vivian to keep him company for the weekend, and the 2 fall in love. Pretty Woman: The Musical is on tour until December 10, 2023.

Six: The Musical tells a modern story of the lives of the 6 wives of Henry VIII. As each queen shares their experience with the king, the group must figure out who the leader will be, which is based on who was treated the worst by the ruler of England. The show operates as a pop concert-style musical, with each number representing a certain genre of music. The tour begins on May 5, 2024.

For fans of Tina Turner, this show is a real treat! The show follows the singer’s life from her time in small-town Tennessee, to her creation of such global hits like “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “Proud Mary,” “Private Dancer” and “River Deep.” This is Tina’s life told her way. The show is on tour until March 31, 2024.
Broadway shows touring: To Kill a Mockingbird
Harper Lee’s novel To Kill A Mockingbird hits the stage across the country. Adapted by Aaron Sorkin, the play tells the story of the original plot with an important message regarding race relations and the criminal justice system. The tour begins on May 19, 2024.
Broadway shows touring: Wicked
While the musical is soon becoming a blockbuster movie, the stage musical is traveling the country. Wicked tells a different angle of the Wicked Witch of the West and what really happened in the Land of Oz before Dorothy came to town. The show is on tour until October 29, 2023.
