Thomas Gibson spent some time behind bars on Sunday — and no, it wasn’t for his hit TV series Criminal Minds. The 50-year-old actor was arrested at 1:05 AM Sunday morning for driving under the influence, Los Angele Police Department spokesman Bruce Borihanh, tells Hollywood.com.
An LAPD officer tells the Associate Press (via ABC News) that Gibson was arrested after he drove through barricades that were set up to keep cars from entering an area where a nighttime half-marathon was taking place in downtown Los Angeles. After being pulled over, Gibson was taken into custody by the LAPD. He was released on bond for $15,000 later in the day.
Gibson will appear in court on Jan. 31 to face his charges.
