Ten years ago, Vanity Fair put nine “teen girl stars” on its cover — fresh-faced and talented, these young women were ready to take over Hollywood (and maybe the world). From left to right, Amanda Bynes, Mary-Kate and Alshey Olsen, Mandy Moore, Hilary Duff, Alexis Bledel, Evan Rachel Wood, Raven-Symoné, and Lindsay Lohan filled a fold-out cover spread for the magazine’s June issue.
In honor of the iconic cover’s 10th anniversary, we decided to update it. Oh what a difference 10 years can make!

A decade later, only a couple of these starlets have blossomed into bona fide TV and movie stars (I’m looking at you, Evan Rachel Wood and Alexis Bledel), while others have faded into obscurity (Raven), struggled to land a successful project despite scattered critical success (Moore), had children (Duff and Wood), been arrested (Lohan and Bynes), and stayed up late counting their piles of money… or so we imagine (the Olsens, duh).
One can only imagine what the next decade will bring for these women.
