At long last, Daft Punk‘s new song, “Get Lucky,” has arrived! For real this time. The lead single from the French electronic duo’s new album, Random Access Memories, features vocals from Pharrell Williams.
The peppy, disco-tinged track comes from the band’s first new album in eight years, and it is pretty excellent — at least for something so hyped it was almost certain to be a soul-crushing disappointment. Listen below:
The helmeted band will debut their new album at a remote Australian agricultural festival called the Wee Waa Show. The weekend-long event begins May 17, 2013, if you’re planning on investing in a plane ticket Down Under (and an Outback-ready rental car, because geez is that festival in the middle of nowhere).
If you can’t make it all the way to the festival, though, the band announced its many collaborators on the new album via a special teaser aired for the crowds at California’s Coachella music festival last weekend. Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Panda Bear of Animal Collective, guitarist Nile Rodgers and more will appear on Random Access Memories.
