We all know and adore ’90s queen Sarah Michelle Gellar for her kick-ass roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cruel Intentions and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Therefore it probably comes as a shock to you that the pint-sized actress is legitimately banned from all McDonald’s. Seriously, how has she been living without McFlurrys and those succulent fries?!
So how did this happen? It all stems back to a Burger Kincommercialal that SMG shot back in 1981 when she was just four-years-old.
At first glance the commercial seems super innocent, however, because SMG actually named dropped McDonald’s in the Burger King commercial, claiming that the fast-food joint with the Golden arches used 20% less meat in their burgers than BK, the people of at Mickey D’s were furious! In fact, McDonald’s sued BK over the ad and at five -years old, SMG was sent to testify in court over the lines she spoke in the ad. As a result, Burger King had to pull the commercial from TV and SMG received a lifetime ban from every McDonald’s restaurant across the world.
We never knew Mickey D’s could be so petty. What do you think? Is Sarah Michelle Gellar missing out?
