This year will see the final bow from Tony Soprano and his crew of intimidating yet loyal brothers-in-arms. So before the last season begins, A&E provides viewers, first-time and long-time, with a full journey from the beginning.

After the last run of shows airs on HBO, it will have been six full seasons of explosive action, intricately plotted back-stabbing, and domestic woes on Tony’s home front.

Tonight, A&E begins with the very first episode of the mob-drama and, though the language and action are both watered down for cable purposes, the thick storylines still shine through.

The Sopranos airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on A&E.
