The best part of watching the early seasons of Boy Meets World is to see what an awesome character Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) was. She had hard stances, never was afraid to speak her mind, and she was weird. When she got older she might have changed, but she never stopped being an awesome role model for girls and women. For that, she is our feminist hero.
1. When she came up with a future society where she was President for a school project.
2. When she rebelled against beauty standards so hard Cory asked her this.
3. When she made it clear that she won’t lose identity to be with Cory.
4. When she pointed out the reasons for high divorce rates.
5. When she decided to take things into her own hands and make the first move.
6. When she made it clear that she’s body positive.
7. When she wasn’t afraid to call out the boys for checking her out.
8. When she demanded exactly what she wanted.
9. When she schooled that sales girl and started to quote the law like a BAMF.
10. When she called out Shawn and Cory for being rude to Minkus.
11. When she killed it in the Pledge of Allegiance debate.
12. All those times she didn’t let Cory pressure her to doing something she didn’t want to do.
