Leave it to late night television for Hollywood’s most stylish starlets to break out the big guns for their on-screen appearances. While making the promotional rounds, it’s a unique chance to see their personal style on display without all the pomp and circumstance of the red carpet. Mixing high designer wares with more mainstreet fashions, often what you seen on screen today is sold out tomorrow. So if you skipped your DVR this week or went to bed early, here are our favorite looks from late night this week.
Sandra Bullock on The Tonight Show with Leno
Sandra was all tears on The Tonight Show, as she sincerely sent off Jay during his penultimate episode of hosting. The 49-year-old actress continues to defy gravity both on screen and in age, and she looked sporty and stunning in a sleek halter dress from Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection. The navy dress featured leather detailing for a mod look paired with black Rupert Sanderson for Antonio Berardi “Tallyho” sandals.
Shailene Woodley on Jimmy Kimmel Live
The Divergent star made quite the entrance when she ziplined into the Jimmy Kimmel show along with her co-star Theo James. While we were momentarily blinded by Theo’s luminescent suit, after the glare went away, both stars looked adorable. That’s probably because their souls haven’t been crushed by the massive fame that comes with starring in a YA franchise film. As tomorrow’s Jennifer Lawrence in the making, Shailene looked every bit the fresh-faced star she is – sporting a cute, cropped haircut and a heart printed button blouse, cropped trousers and some ladylike loafers.
Elizabeth Banks on The Daily Show
You’d think she was headlining her own Vegas gig, given the amount of costume changes Elizabeth Banks had in one day promoting her new Lego movie. The comedic actress obviously has a thing for geometric styles, after wearing an embroided dress from David Koma Fall 2013 followed by a futuristic paneled crepe top by Antonio Beradi on The Daily Show that featured a futuristic sleeveless white blouse and some form-fitting leather pants.
Sarah Paulson on Jimmy Kimmel Live
The American Horror Story star was on Kimmel Wednesday night – thankfully with her eye-sight in tact – to talk about the show’s finale and getting sloshed at the Golden Globes after celebrating her nomination for 12 Years A Slave. She looked a bit like a princess, wearing a pleated, v-neck dress with a subtle botanical print and puffed sleeve. But if AHS has taught us anything, it’s that this woman can pull off anything, especially when you add a pair of Louboutins to the mix.
