Megan Mullally Gives Us An Update On That ‘Will & Grace’ Revival We’re All Waiting For

A couple of weeks ago, the cast of Will & Grace reunited for an election-themed video and sparked rumors that NBC was rebooting the series. Unfortunately, rumors were just that — rumors. When the election video came out, and we all realized Will & Grace wasn’t back for good, a little piece of us died like the series had ended all over again. Come on, if Gilmore Girls can do it, why can’t you?

Megan Mullally, who plays the lovable Karen, has given us a little, tiny glimmer of hope. While on Watch What Happens Live, the actress admitted that so many people wanted the reunion to happen, it just might!

“Well, there’s some interest and people have been talking and there’s some rumors…From what I can tell, a lot of people really want the show to come back, so we’ll see what happens,” she said.

Mullally also said the election reunion special was “crazy.” The cast were so close-knit it was like no time passed at all.

“It was kind of like we had just been away for the weekend,” she said. “The best part really was that it was all the same people, not just the cast. Jim Burrows, the director, the costume designer, the lighting designer, the set designer, the writer—I mean, everybody the same. The camera operators!”

If that didn’t give us enough hope, Eric McCormack, who played Will, admitted to TV Insider that the network was “sort of” in talks for a 10-episode revival.

“[The election episode] was so much fun to do and the response was so huge. And it’s kind of amazing too that between Jimmy Burrows and our set decorators, they made it look like an episode of the show,” he said. “So, when NBC came back and said, ‘Is there more to this?’ the talk right now is that we are sort of in talks [for] maybe something limited, a little 10 episodes…but it’s going to be awhile before we can figure it out. I’m the only one with a [regular] series, but the other three could have a series at any moment. So, it is a very hard thing to schedule but we’re certainly all into it.”

We’re crossing our fingers! Check out Megan’s interview on Watch What Happens Live above.
