Anna Camp on Pitch Perfect 4: ‘I’m not saying no’

Anna Camp has dropped a further hint that a fourth instalment in the Pitch Perfect franchise is in the works.

The former True Blood star, who plays Aubrey Posen in the hit musical franchise, first hinted that a fourth chapter could be in development when she posed for a photo at her 36th birthday party in September (18) with castmates Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, and Chrissie Fit, and they each held up four fingers to the camera, leading many fans to believe they were making an announcement.

However, the cast has remained coy ever since, and Anna continued to tease the project during an appearance on U.S. chat show The Talk on Tuesday (15Jan19).

“We are always so happy that the fans still love the girls and still love stories. I’m not saying no. I think a great idea would be like a Golden Girls (version of) Pitch Perfect and we could all be in a nursing home, singing, you know,” she said, referring to the U.S. sitcom starring mature women. “I think we would do it for the rest of our lives. We love being around each other and love playing the characters so much.”

After she posted the picture in September, Rebel was asked what it meant during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, and the Australian actress confirmed that she would be filming another musical within the next year.

“I’ll definitely be filming another musical film in the next 12 months, I can say that… Us Pitch Perfect girls, we love each other and we always wanna work together,” she shared.

Brittany has also expressed a desire to continuing playing her character Chloe Beal, and previously told reporters at Extra that the cast is close and would happily make Pitch Perfect films “until the end of time”.

When released in 2017, Pitch Perfect 3 was met with mixed reviews and failed to surpass the box office takings of its predecessor.
